MAD Ceramics: greenware, bisque, casting slip, classes, seminars, Dealer for Colors for Earth & Duncan under glazes, glazes, paints, supplies, firing for all your projects, competitions, custom painted gifts and awards and much more.
You can start your project from the green ware or with bisque, as in the “Contemporary Studios”. Full service studios are more versatile than contemporary studios since you can request wet greenware and do many different things to it. In contemporary studios your only choice is bisque (ready to paint ware). We are one of the largest studios in NC and we are open to the public and sell wholesale too. Quality Bisque is available and can be shipped. A sampling of our horse and plain ware bisque can be found in our Bisque Catalog pages at: www.Horseramics.com. We also manufacture our own casting slip "JR's Blue Ribbon Casting Slip". HISTORY:
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Fairleigh
Dickenson University, Madison, NJ and I also am a graduate of the Newark School
of Fine & Industrial Arts in Newark, NJ. I have worked in various
advertising agencies in NJ, NY, NV, and NC since graduating and quite a bit of
freelance work. DIRECTIONS: If you
are coming from Winston
Salem on I-40, get off at the Farmington
Road exit #174, go left & cross over 40. At the end turn right on 158 headed
into Mocksville. There will be (2) 45MPH signs then (2) 35MPH signs, the second
35MPH sign is almost directly across from Milling Road. You will make a left on
Milling Rd. and go approximately 3/4 mile. Our building is BEHIND Tri-Power. You
will be going into their driveway. We have a big white barrel at the end of the
driveway with our logo painted on it. (If you pass the Northwood Apts. on the
left you went past the driveway!) From Salisbury
take 601 until you get to the light in town where 601 turns left (DON'T TURN) go
straight ahead through the center of town Main Street turns into 158. You will
pass the Brock Center and further down the road you will come to a yellow house
with a white picket fence. Make a right onto Milling Road and go approximately
3/4 mile. Our building is BEHIND Tri-Power. From Lexington take 64 to the traffic light (intersection of 601/64/158). Turn right onto Main Street/158 and follow the directions as from Salisbury.
